Final Girl Series 2: Madness in the Dark

Van Ryder Games Overview
The Ratchet Lady is in a mood. She’s performing her own brand of therapy on the victims, turning them into bloodthirsty maniacs. You’ll have to decide if you want to try to calm them down or kill them before they can kill you. But the only way to really stop them will be to put down the Ratchet Lady herself.

Wolfe Asylum seems harmless and like a typical mental institution to outsiders. Inside lies something very different. There’s medicine and other drugs inside that can, shall we say, amplify your abilities. But at what cost? When the choice is death or a potential side effect, it really isn’t a choice at all. Down the hatch!

Horror Movie Classification
Psychological / Asylum Horror

The most obvious reference is One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (1975)—although it isn't itself a horror movie.

The Ratchet Lady is a very clear play on Nurse Ratched, the cold and controlling nurse who dominates the psychiatric hospital in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. Final Girl takes that recognizable character archetype and pushes it fully into horror territory.

The Feature Film also has strong connections to the broader asylum-horror genre, where isolation, unreliable perception, institutional abuse, and the question of who is truly dangerous become central parts of the story. That gives it some thematic similarity to films such as Shutter Island (2010).

Closest Movie Comparison: One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (1975) — primarily for the Ratchet Lady/Nurse Ratched connection.

Secondary Movie Comparison: Shutter Island (2010) — for its darker psychological-asylum atmosphere.
