Horror Movie Classification
Home-Invasion / Slasher Horror
The strongest movie connection is The Strangers (2008).
Three mysterious masked strangers terrorizing someone inside an isolated home is an unmistakable parallel. Even the unsettling anonymity of the Intruders captures what made The Strangers so effective—the attackers don't need an elaborate supernatural origin to be frightening. They're frightening because they're outside the house, and they want in.
There is also a strong connection to You're Next (2011). That film takes the home-invasion premise and gives it a more combative Final Girl who turns the house and whatever she can find inside it against her attackers. That fits Final Girl's gameplay particularly well.
Closest Movie Comparison: The Strangers (2008)
