Printing identification

This appears to be the first printing. The spine has only the regular ISBN and lacks the additional code found above the ISBN on the second printing. The copyright and trademark notices on the back cover are also associated with the first-print configuration.

The Fiend Folio was published in 1981 and compiled many creatures originating in the British White Dwarf “Fiend Factory” column, including monsters that became lasting D&D fixtures such as the githyanki, death knight, grell, and slaad.
