Why this is the third printing

This copy has the distinctive combination of:

• Original Erol Otus cover and Wizard TSR logo

• 128 pages

• Only 15 pantheons, with the Cthulhu and Melnibonéan sections removed

• Back cover still incorrectly claiming it contains “seventeen pantheons”

That combination identifies the third printing. The fourth printing corrected the back-cover count to fifteen and changed to the TSR face logo.

This is a neat transitional printing, but it is not the substantially more valuable 144-page Cthulhu/Melnibonéan version.
