What is the Vendetta Pre-Rift Event?
The Vendetta Pre-Rift Event is the world’s first opportunity to experience Vendetta cards in person. The focus is on fun, casual play, and a welcoming atmosphere, so even if you’re new to Riftbound, this is a great way to learn and join the game.

How it Works

You’ll receive your Vendetta Pre-Rift kit at the event, build a deck during the 45-minute build window, then jump into fast, tactical rounds. Expect a friendly vibe, lots of learning, and plenty of “wait, that card does WHAT?” moments.

Pre-Rift Deck Building Rules Summary

Overview of Pre-Rift Deck Building Rules

In the Pre-Rift Sealed Events of Riftbound, players build decks using specific guidelines. Here are the key rules to follow:

Starting Deck and Cards

Players receive one of six random decks, each containing 15 cards, including a legend (and pre-rift essentials for that legend).
Additionally, players get 5 booster packs to create a minimum deck of 25 cards.
If using a Champion Legend, players can choose a third domain to play alongside the two dictated by their legend.

Champion and Legend Selection

Players can use any legend obtained from packs or opt to play without a legend.
Chosen Champion Units can be any Champion Unit that fits your deck’s domain identity.
If your deck is missing a Champion Legend and/or a Chosen Champion, you draw one extra card at the start of your first Beginning Phase each game (even if both are missing, you still only draw one extra card).

Card Limitations

Unlike constructed mode, players can include more than three copies of the same card.
“Unique” does not apply in sealed.
Signature spells are playable as long as they’re fully included in your deck’s domain identity.

Sideboard

Your sideboard is every card in your sealed pool that isn’t in your starting deck configuration.
You can adjust your deck while sideboarding (including changing domains/legend/chosen champion) as long as your updated deck remains legal.
