Van Ryder Games Overview
You're not perfect. You've made your share of mistakes. In fact, maybe you deserve to be in this shifting Hellscape... but then again, maybe you don't. Razorface is a killer that will force you to reckon with yourself and deal with your "afflictions." He draws power from them and horrible mutilation and suffering await you if you find yourself unable to do so.

The Hellscape is a maze that is ever-changing. The sights you'll see may draw you in with ecstasy one moment and then horrify you completely the next.  Will you  stay in hell for eternity? Or will you be able to escape alive and get  back to your normal life?

Horror Movie Classification
Supernatural / Infernal Body Horror

The primary movie connection is unmistakably Hellraiser (1987).

Razorface is a clear homage to Pinhead, the iconic leader of the Cenobites. Both combine ritualistic body modification, supernatural power, and a particularly disturbing relationship between pain and pleasure.

The connection extends beyond the killer. Hellraiser revolves around the Lament Configuration, a mysterious puzzle box that opens a gateway to the Cenobites' realm. Hell to Pay similarly embraces forbidden objects, otherworldly dimensions, and the extremely important horror-movie lesson that some puzzles are better left unsolved.

The Hellscape setting expands that idea by allowing players to experience the nightmare

dimension itself rather than simply waiting for its inhabitants to come through the door.

Closest Movie Comparison: Hellraiser (1987)

Secondary Movie Comparison: Hellbound: Hellraiser II (1988), particularly for its exploration of the Cenobites' nightmarish realm.

For Horror Fans Who Enjoy:

The Short Version:
Hellraiser brought to Final Girl—a forbidden gateway, an otherworldly realm of suffering, and a supernatural killer whose appearance alone tells you that opening the mysterious puzzle was a terrible idea.
