Carcharodons: Void Exile (Paperback)
Dive back into the brutal, silent depths of the Outer Dark with Void Exile, the third full-length novel in Robbie MacNiven’s acclaimed Carcharodons series. Known as the Imperium’s exiled protectors, the Carcharodon Astra are a Chapter of merciless predators who haunt the edges of the galaxy. Now, tactical necessity forces them to step out of the shadows and fight alongside an Imperium that fears and misunderstands them.
This high-octane military sci-fi novel explores the internal culture of the "Space Sharks" as they face an apocalyptic threat that challenges their survival and their secretive traditions.
The Story
The isolated Forge World of Diamantus faces total annihilation. A warped and mutated space hulk, infested by the nightmarish forces of Chaos, has appeared in the system. Commanded by the monstrous datagnost Voldire—a devoted disciple of the dread demigod Vashtorr the Arkifane—the hulk threatens to consume everything in its path.
Bail Sharr and the battle-weary warriors of the Third Company must make a desperate stand. To save Diamantus, they must forge an uneasy alliance with the Adeptus Mechanicus and board the Chaos-infested hulk to destroy it from within. In the claustrophobic corridors of the machine-hell, Sharr must confront the Chapter's place in the new Imperium and decide what must be sacrificed to secure victory.
